Escape to the heart of the jungle, specifically the Tambopata National Reserve. Here, the stunning “Sandoval Lake” beckons, teeming with rich flora and fauna.
TOUR SCHEDULE: PARROTS AND MACAWS CLAY LICK CHUNCHO
DAY 2:
Starting the day with a cup of tea or coffee sets the perfect tone. As dawn breaks, we embark on our boat journey along the Tambopata River, aiming for the macaw and parrot clay lick. During this half-hour ride, keep an eye out; we might spot a JAGUAR or an ANACONDA.
Once at the Chuncho clay lick, a vibrant display unfolds. For over three hours, the dazzling colors and chirrups of birds captivate us. Simultaneously, we savor a delicious country breakfast, amplifying the experience.
Later, we cruise the Tambopata River again, this time hunting for sights of capybaras, tapirs, wild pigs, monkeys, caimans, turtles, or cats. All the while, the pristine beauty of the Tambopata National Reserve surrounds us.
By afternoon, we retrace our steps, heading back to the city along the same route we took on the first day.
